Congrats on getting your windows 8 computer up and running! I must say I hate it. To make it tolerable I just removed all the tiles from mine and try to ignore that awful start screen as I go by it...
I am glad you can appreciate what I've been through. I said to Rod, the guy who was helping me, that I've been self-employed for 20 years and have had to function as my own IT department so I am not some newbie. He is the company computer guru, has taught some adult ed courses, etc. and the only way he solved it is by Googling and found an answer. This was the 4th or 5th stumbling block to be connected and to download Office... and finally when he fixed it, I swear I wanted to kiss him. I was so grateful.
