What was the very first concert you went to? For me it was either James Taylor or Deep Purple in CT. Can't remember for sure.

A few hours later: just popped into my mind when Mary and Fran sent the photo below of them at a Paul McCartney concert that the first concert I ever saw was the Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1964. What is weird about it is that my mother bought tickets as a surprise. Those who know will agree that act was so out of character for her -- to this day, I have no idea for her motivation for that. I remember you could barely hear them -- they were way out like in center field and everyone was screaming. Wished I'd saved my ticket stub! I could sell in on eBay!
And here are the two oldest screaming teenagers:

Did we see him twice? I remember seeing him outdoors, I think at Carter Barron amphitheater, and there was lightening while he sang Listen to the Rain. Maybe that was later?
James Taylor at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center upstate -- I was probably 15 and totally in love with him.
I did not have the luxury of going to a concert while in my teens, so my first concert was ZZ Top and I was in my twenties. But my favorite concert was Neal Diamond but I don't remember what year (after my rock n roll days :).
