Going around the channels, I came upon a Dr Oz segment on summer bites and rashes. Just want to pass this along this tip which I hope you don't need. If you find a tic biting you, take a tweezer and tweeze the HEAD of the tic, not the body... If you do the body, all you'll do is squish the body and the head/teeth will still be in there. Then you very gently and slowly, NOT tugging, pull the tic out.
Ok, so here's the tip -- don't throw away the tic. Put it in a jar and you take it to the Health Dept so they can check it for Lyme Disease germs so you will know if you have possibly been exposed. That part would not have occurred to me.
